A few Friday pictures

Priming today over texture.  Color next week.

Window painted over garage entry to match cupolas.  Still have to test the other windows.

We've been texturized....

Jarrod spent weeks getting the house ready for priming and then texturizing.  Went out of his way to make sure we got the right texture.  Yesterday he primed the house - today he textured it.  Major change....
Painting starts tomorrow, another priming, then two layers of paint.

Tonight we had a nice evening after everyone was done working with some beer/wine and poke.  I was waiting for the cruise ship to pass by, but that never happened.

Texture....  this will be painted with prime paint and two more coats of paint.  We went for the most minimal texture available..... Jarrod did a great job.

A very nice evening - Bob is in the center.  Mark on the left with Dove his girlfriend and Denis on the right.

Jarrod was there but is MIA....

Quick update - cupola windows painted

Originally the cupola windows were to be white.  Ed and I decided to paint them to match the rest of the house and I am glad we did.  We want to do the same on the garage, but there may be issues (other than voiding the warranty) with expansion and not being able to open the windows so we are experimenting with other vinyl windows to see if we should attempt this.

We have decided to bring the tile that we are using around the pool inside as well so we will be returning the tile that we ordered (and was delivered) back to the mainland and today I ordered the matching tile for inside.  An expensive decision because of restocking fee and shipping, but it will be great.

I finalized the kitchen counter-tops today as well.  The interior paint looks good and they should start on Friday and the pool tile should start next week.

Texturing the walls begins tomorrow... our guy who is doing this is great.  Actually, we've been exceptionally lucky with all crews working on the house.  Bob, the contractor, is the main reason for that.

Berm - note the colors on the cupolas... no longer white.

Orange peel texture - the fly in the center likes it!

Texture again - my finger is there for scale so Ed can understand.

Update from last week.

Stucco is pretty much done.  The outside shower column needs an additional two feet added on top.
Tile floor inside house is not what we expect so we are hoping to avoid a 25% restocking fee and then we will have the same tile inside and out.

Inside colors should start going up next week.  The color I had made up did not match the first sample so we are working through that.

Been trying to figure out internet and satellite TV options as well as cellular options there.  Not an easy task.

Catching up

Da berm shot.

Walls getting colored in - should be almost finished this week.

Garage trim.

More color.  Gutters on order.

Ed came for 10 days...  busy days.

It's time to pick the inside colors - to be done in a week or so.  We have 16 shades we're looking at.

Master bedroom - after "camping out".  We look forward to the scaffolding and plastic to come off the doors and windows.

Pool shot - panorama photo - it is a straight roof.

Front door panorama.

Same shot - different day.

Incredible stars - the camera didn't move - long term exposure shows the rotation of the earth.

Stars with roof - taken from in the pool.
